Week 49

Engineering work for the week beginning 1st December 2025:

Achill, Co. Mayo: all Saorview services will be off the air for up to 30 minutes on Wednesday 3rd December between 11am and 4.30pm.
Cairn Hill, Co. Longford: all Saorview services will be off the air on Thursday 4th December between 12.15am and 6am.
Castlebar, Co. Mayo: all Saorview services will be off the air for up to 30 minutes on Tuesday 2nd December between 10am and 4pm.
Clermont Carn, Co. Louth: RTÉ 2FM will be off the air for periods of up to 40 minutes on Tuesday 2nd December between 10am and 5pm.
Kilkeaveragh, Co. Kerry: all Saorview and FM radio services will be off the air for periods of up to 3 hours from Monday 1st December to Wednesday 3rd December between 10am and 4.30pm.
Kippure, Co. Wicklow: RTÉ Lyric FM will be liable to interruption on Tuesday 2nd December between 9.30am and 4.30pm.
Laragh, Co. Wicklow: all Saorview services will be liable to interruption on Tuesday 2nd December between 10.30am and 4.30pm.
Spur Hill, Co. Cork: all FM radio services will be liable to interruption from Tuesday 2nd December until Friday 5th December between 9am and 4.30pm.
Three Rock, Co. Dublin: all Saorview and FM radio services will be off the air for up to 4 hours on Thursday 4th December between 12.10am and 5am.

Technical issues affecting Saorview transmitting stations this week:

Clifden, Co. Galway: RTÉ Radio 1 FM reported as operating on reduced power since Saturday due to a technical fault. This may affect reception in fringe reception areas.
Greenore, Co. Louth: all Saorview services were off the air on Friday due to an ESB power outage. Power was restored late on Friday.
Woodcock Hill, Co. Clare: RTÉ Lyric FM was off the air on Thursday due to a technical fault. The fault was reported by 2RN on Thursday at 12pm. The fault was removed from the active fault list by 4pm on Thursday.

Engineering work for the week beginning 8th December 2025:

Clifden, Co. Galway: RTÉ Radio 1 FM will be off the air for up to 1 hour on Wednesday 10th December between 10am and 2pm.
Kilkeaveragh, Co. Kerry: all FM radio services will be off the air for up to 3 hours on either Thursday 11th December or Friday 12th December between 10am and 4.30pm.
Letterkenny, Co. Donegal: all Saorview services will be off the air for periods of up to 30 minutes on Tuesday 9th December between 12pm and 4pm.
Spur Hill, Co. Cork: all RTÉ radio services will be liable to interruption from Tuesday 9th December until Friday 12th December between 9am and 4.30pm.
Woodcock Hill, Co. Clare: all Saorview and FM radio services will be liable to interruption and subject to periods of reduced power on Thursday 11th December between 10am and 3pm.

Technical issues affecting Saorview transmitting stations this week:

Clifden, Co. Galway: RTÉ Radio 1 FM reported as operating on reduced power since Saturday 6th December due to a technical fault. This may affect reception in fringe reception areas. Fault assumed corrected on Wednesday by scheduled maintenance work.
Kilkeaveragh, Co, Kerry: all Saorview and FM radio services were off the air from Monday morning due to an ESB power outage. Power was restored by 1pm on Monday.

Engineering work for the week beginning 15th December 2025:

Clermont Carn, Co. Louth: all Saorview and RTÉ radio services will be liable to interruption on Monday 15th December and Tuesday 16th December between 9.30am and 5pm.
Moville, Co. Donegal: all Saorview services will be off the air for periods of up to 2 hours on Tuesday 16th December between 11am and 4.30pm.
Letterkenny, Co. Donegal: due to work being carried out by the ESB all Saorview services will be off the air on Tuesday 16th December between 9am and 4pm.
Spur Hill, Co. Cork: all RTÉ radio services will be liable to interruption from Tuesday 16th December until Thursday 18th December between 9am and 4.30pm.

Issues affecting Saorview transmitting stations this week:

Lehinch, Co. Clare: all RTÉ radio services were off the air on Thursday morning due to an ESB power outage. The issue was removed from the active fault list by late morning.
Maamclassach, Co. Kerry: all RTÉ radio services were off the air on Thursday morning due to an ESB power outage. The issue was removed from the active fault list by early afternoon.

There is no engineering work planned for the week beginning 22nd December 2025.
